On Monday night, Marshall hosted Deerfield in a much anticipated non-conference battle between two teams leading their respective conferences.  Both teams got off to a fast start with hot shooting first quarters, but it was Marshall led by Junior guard Cam Ward who kept their foot on the gas throughout the game, rolling to an 80-57 win and improving their record to 12-1 on the year.

6-2 - Marshall, WI

Ward came out on fire in the first quarter with 11 points, including three 3-pointers. The junior did a good job of running the show offensively, dishing out a number of nice assists. Ward again took over the game in the fourth quarter, finishing with a game-high 23 points. The 6-2 guard made a handful of difficult plays look rather easy Monday night.

Blake Ehrke - 2013 - G/F - Deerfield HS
6-2 - Deerfield, WI

It was a tough shooting night for Ehrke who was hounded all night by Marshall's defense. Averaging nearly 20 points per game heading into Monday night, Ehrke finished with the game with 11. Despite his shot not falling, the senior did a great job of getting his teammates involved.

Austin Sinden - 2014 - F - Marshall HS
6-3 - Marshall, WI

Sinden is a strong forward who had a productive game running the floor and getting easy baskets for himself. The junior chipped in with 14 points and also did the little things on the defensive end.

Brandon Stensaas - 2013 - F - Marshall HS
6-5 - Marshall, WI

The senior forward was outstanding sealing off defenders and putting himself in good scoring position down low. He's a very polished big man with a nice soft touch in the paint. The 6-5 forward also attacked the offensive glass aggressively. Stensaas joined Ward to lead Marshall with 23 points on the night.
