In a Division 3 semifinal between Capitol North champion Lodi and Capitol South champion Marshall, two 20-win teams went head-to-head in tightly contested battle.  After the first 16 minutes of play, the Blue Devils and Cardinals would play to a tie. In the third quarter, Lodi would take control, leading 48-40 as the game proceeded into the final quarter of play. With their season on the line, Marshall came storming back. The Cardinals tied the game at 52 with just over four minutes to play.  However, in the end, it was Lodi who played big down the stretch, advancing to the sectional semifinal to face Wisconsin Dells with a 63-56 victory.

Jordan Shea – 2014 – SG – Lodi HS
6-4 – Lodi, WI

Shea poured in a game-high 25 points for Lodi. The junior scored in a variety of ways, hitting open 3-pointers and scoring in the paint as well. Shea sat out much of the fourth quarter with foul trouble, but once he returned with just a few minutes remaining, completely changed the game and halted Marshall’s momentum.

Cam Ward – 2014 – SG – Marshall HS
6-2 – Marshall, WI

Ward did what he does best Saturday night, scoring the basketball. The junior had 22 points, facing a double team most of the night. Despite being hounded defensively, Ward didn’t force many shots, but shot when he had to, and also did a nice job of finding the open man.

Brandon Stensaas – 2013 – F – Marshall HS
6-5 – Marshall, WI

Stensaas put together a big fourth quarter willing Marshall back to tie the game. The senior knocked down jumper in the fourth after jumper, including two 3-pointers. Stensaas finished with 10 points Thursday night.

Jacob Haag – 2013 – F/C – Lodi HS
6-8 – Lodi, WI

While Shea was carrying the scoring load, Hagg was getting it done on the defensive end, grabbing rebounds and blocking shots. The senior also chipped in with 10 points, including a couple of key buckets late.
