2009 Prospect Update - 6'3" SG Jake Thomas - Wisconsin

SG Jake Thomas is a another Wisconsin prospect that colleges will be looking at
over the next couple years. The Racine St. Catherine's standout is a
classic SG prospect with nice length and the ability to stroke the outside shot
from anywhere on the court. He recently put down another excellent
performance at this fall's NY2LA Sports Next Level Showcase and heads into this
season as one of the main weapons for Racine St. Catherine's.
Thomas came on the scene last winter with a series of big time performances that included some big time outside shooting from the 3 point line. That performance as well as his performances this past summer with the Next Level Basketball Grassroots program has generated interest from a host of Division I schools. Expect that trend to continue in the coming months as Thomas has the potential to become an excellent outside scoring threat that will stretch defenses and provide consistent outside shooting at the next level.
As solid as Thomas is now, he still has a ton of room to continue his development which means he could really take off as a prospect by the end of next summer if he puts in the work over the next few months.
