One of the top Class of 2010 prospects in the Midwest is set to explode when the spring grassroots travel season begins in April as 6'3" SG Vander Blue has been one of the best kept secrets in the country...until now. Blue has had an exceptional sophomore year for Madison Memorial on the high school side as he picked up right where he left off last summer with the Madison Spartans.
Blue is a slashing type scoring threat who can put up numbers in bunches when he gets it going. He's shown the ability to slash to the rim and score as well as the ability to hit the mid range and also the trey ball if left open. While currently playing in the shadow of fellow Memorial teammate and 09' SF standout 6'6" Jeronne Maymon on both the high school side and the grassroots side, Blue has quietly become one of the top prospects in the coming years in Wisconsin.
In state powers Wisconsin and Marquette have already expressed an interest while the likes of Minnesota and Virginia have also been rumored to have the young guard on their radars as well. Look for Blue's stock to explode this spring as he is definitely one to watch in April.
Blue is again expected to team with 6'6" 09' SF standout Jeronne Maymon and the Madison Spartans this spring.
