One
of the top frosh in the Midwest happens to also be a part of one of the top
teams in Wisconsin this year as 6'1" frosh Jalonnie Parks of Milwaukee Custer is
already making a name for himself on the court.
The smooth scoring machine at Milwaukee Custer was always one of the top middle school prospects in the state and his performance at last summer's NY2LA Sports Generation Next All-Star Camp did nothing to disappoint as Parks competed against some of the best prospects in the country and more than held his own.
His strong play continued during the high school season as he grabbed a spot on the Milwaukee Custer varsity squad and has become a huge part of the success they've had this year. This past weekend Parks hit for 11 points and played a huge role in Custer's impressive victory over Milwaukee Pius XI setting up a big time showdown with Wauwatosa East in the Sectional 8 semi-final of the WIAA state tournament later this week.
Parks is a multi-skilled young prospect who can score the ball in a number of different ways with his ability to attack the rim and stroke the perimeter jumper. As he continues to develop both physically and skill wise, expect Parks to become an excellent prospect in the coming years.
