Wisconsin and Head Coach Bo Ryan have landed one of the top Class of 2009 prospects in Illinois in 6'3" SG Diamond Taylor of St. Joseph's high school.
Taylor is a long athletic slashing SG who sees the floor well and attacks the rim with positive results. Taylor has shown the ability to handle the ball and create problems with his dribble penetration by being able to score from the mid range area and by attacking the rim while also being able to create opportunities for his teammates on the offensive end.
The long athletic slashing guard is regarded as one of the top prospects in the Midwest (i.e. Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) and a top 100-150 prospect nationally by most recruiting sites. He chose the Badgers over the likes of Southern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Bradley, Marquette, Illinois, and Notre Dame.
Taylor competed with the Illinois Wolves on the grassroots travel scene last year.
