Class of 2009 Prospect Watch - 6'7" F Ben Averkamp- Wisconsin

Yesterday we took a look at Luke Russell, today it's Ben Averkamp, another of the top Class of 2009 prospects in the state of Wisconsin.
The 6'7" forward at Germantown High School has already gathered Division 1 interest as he has nice size, good length, and solid all around skill set for a young big. Averkamp has a solid understanding of the game, some decent interior post footwork, and he can step out and hit the mid range and 3 point shot as well. Despite a solid skill set, Averkamp is still raw athletically so there is lots of room to grow and continue to improve in the coming years as he improves his speed, quickness, and vertical leaping ability.
UW-Green Bay, UW-Milwaukee, and St. Louis already have offers on the table for the young forward. Expect that list to grow this summer as Ben Averkamp continues to develop and improve in the coming months.
