Tubby Smith and Minnesota land 6'10" Colton Iverson!
The recent hire of former Kentucky coach and future Hall of Fame coach Tubby Smith already paid off as Minnesota has secured a verbal commitment from Class of 2010 6'10" F/C Colton Iverson of South Dakota!
Iverson became one of the most coveted prospects in the country after his performance this past summer with the South Dakota Heat. Minnesota outlasted the likes of Florida, Iowa State, Nebraska, Creighton, Arizona State, Washington State, New Mexico, and a host of Big Ten schools that were in the mix!
This is a big time commit for Coach Smith and the Gophers who are already showing that they can compete on the recruiting trail in a short period of time against other high major programs, something that had been desperately lacking at Minnesota for the past few years.
