09' Painter collecting big time offers!
DeShawn Painter may be one of the best kept secrets nationally but don't expect that to continue as the 6'9" 200 pound talent is just starting to catch a glimpse of what lies ahead for him. Blessed with exceptional athleticism and length for a young forward prospect, Painter has all physical tools to become a high major impact player at the next level and beyond.
The 6'9" F at Booker T. Washington in Norfolk, Virginia is easily one of the top PF prospects in the country for the Class of 2009. Painter runs the floor well, explodes off the ground, can rebound and as good as he is now, he's still raw with tons of upside and potential. Not only can he jump but he has that bounce to his step that should make for an excellent interior defensive prospect and open court talent as well if he continues to work on his game.
Rick Pitino and Billy Donovan have already been in to see Painter this month and North Carolina, Ohio State, and Florida State are set to come visit Painter this weekend.
