1 |
Wauwatosa East | Barnett & Co. continue to roll along. The most versatility and depth in the State. If/when Tony Walls come back they will be very tough to beat. The play of Eric Williams has been big so far as has the play of Bryce Powell. |
| 2 | Whitefish Bay Dominican | I don't know that anyone in the state is playing as well as Dominican is right now. Mitchell is back and healthy and the lineup has a host of role players who can get it done on any given night. A state championship is a very strong possibility if they continue the pace their on. |
3 |
Milwaukee Pius XI | They boast the best player in the state and the 1 player who can put a team on his back at any time and carry them to victory...just ask Tosa East who witnessed firsthand just how good Lucious can be when he wants to. |
4 |
Milwaukee Washington | Phillips is playing very well but one of the biggest keys to their success this year has been and will continue to be the play of Byrd. Big win over Vincent puts them in the drivers seat for the City Championship right now. |
5 |
Milwaukee Vincent | Tough loss to Washington but they'll still be tough to beat come state. Fitzgerald is playing well so far this year. Weems needs to step up his game for this team to get it done. |
6 |
Milwaukee King | When it's all said and done, King will find a way to stay in the game and get the "W". No big time superstar but they'll play the game the right way and get after it on both ends. Will stay in the City Conference race until the end and will be a team no one wants to play come state, regardless of their lack of star power this year. |
7 |
Wisconsin Lutheran | Undefeated and headed for showdown with Wauwatosa East at the WBY Shootout. They have one of the top players in the state in Flavien Davis and one of the most underrated athletes in the state in Brandon Whiteside. Success of their season will be determined by the production of role players. |
8 |
Germantown | Loss to Menomonee Falls was just one of those nights. Showalter knows what he's doing and play of Bowers has been solid already. Expect them to be one of the favorites to go to state if Averkamp takes his game to the next level. |
9 |
Milwaukee Bay View | Lacy is off to a torrid start and young guys are just going to get better. They'll finish in the upper echelon of the City Conference this year and be a tough team to beat during the state playoffs. |
10 |
Milwaukee Bradley Tech | Team is solid but needs to step up their play to be considered elite by the end of the year. Jarvis Williams is a key player for them this year and he needs more performances like the one against North Division for them to go to the next level as a team. |
Others to Watch: Racine Horlick, Milwaukee Bradley Tech, Catholic Memorial, Racine Case; Milwaukee Northwest; Milwaukee Custer; Racine Park; Brookfield Central; Racine St. Catherine's; Port Washington; Milwaukee Lutheran; Milwaukee Marquette; New Berlin Eisenhower; Whitefish Bay, New Berlin West; Waupun
