A late blooming 2014 class is echoed by the state of Wisconsin where a host of talented juniors are emerging on Division 1 radars with each passing month.  Case in point is Marshall (Wis.) 2014 Guard Cam Ward who continues to see his recruiting trail fill up.  We caught up with the Marshall standout to get the latest...

Army, Bucknell, Harvard, Lehigh, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, South Dakota State, Sam Houston State, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Wisconsin, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee are all expressing interest in Ward.

Wisconsin-Green Bay is one of the schools highly interested in Ward, and the 6-2 guard was able to make a visit there this past summer.

"I really liked it there," Ward told NY2LASPORTS.COM Tuesday night. "I like Coach (Brian) Wardle. How he is with his players, how he's so energetic. That's what I like about Green Bay.  "They were just telling me they like how I run and my decision making. They can see me playing the one or the two. They think I'm a lot like (Kam) Cerroni."

Ward is expecting Illinois-Chicago, Sam Houston State, and Wisconsin-Green Bay in for open gyms soon.

One program that's already seen Ward play before the season is Army.  "They came to an open gym," Ward said. "They want me to come down on a visit."

Ward says Yale has been tracking him hard over the summer and before the 2012 season as well.

"They're pretty interested," said Ward. "They came down and saw me in an open gym about three weeks ago. They've seen me play a lot. They've been following me for a long time."

After a strong summer campaign Ward has put himself on the map as a player to play close attention to during the high school season.  He played for Randolph Boys Club this past summer.
