Friday night, the No. 3 and No. 4 teams in the Classic Eight squared off in Waukesha. Heading into the match up, Catholic Memorial led Waukesha West by one game in the conference standings.  After Memorial built an eight point lead and took all the momentum into halftime, West came roaring back in the second half to set up a thrilling finish. The teams went back and forth in the fourth quarter, but it was Memorial who threw the final punch, converting an easy lay-up with 19 seconds left that would lift the Crusaders to victory 54-53.  With the win, Memorial reached 15 wins on the season, and remained just two games back of Classic Eight Conference leaders Arrowhead and Mukwonago.

Walz was instrumental in Waukesha West's comeback in the second half. The senior found himself open a few times in the second half and cashed in with some hot shooting to spark the run. Walz led West with 14 points.

Ty Sabin - 2013 - G - Catholic Memorial HS

Stock Boosters
Andre Bodden - 2013 - F - Catholic Memorial HS
6-4 - Waukesha, WI

Bodden didn't look to score a lot, but the senior is a good looking player. The 6-4 forward does the little things for Catholic Memorial, grabbing rebounds inside and distributing to shooters and cutters from the mid-post. Bodden stepped up on the defensive end for Memorial, guarding West's leading scorer Earnest Cowser and forcing him into a tough shooting night.

Ayinde Starling - 2014 - PG - Catholic Memorial HS
6-2 - Waukesha, WI

Starling is a strong guard who is very good off the bounce. The junior is very smooth on offense and loves to pull up and shoot off the dribble. He is an excellent defender and is willing to play hard and do a lot of little things on the court to help his team win.  The junior guard chipped in with 11 points for Memorial on 5-8 shooting.
