TOP PERFORMERS
(Note – Not listed in any particular order)
Thomas O'Connor – 2015 – PG -- Next Level Hoops Academy 16s
5-7 – Kapaun Mt Carmel H.S. – Wichita, KS

Although diminutive in size, O’Connor made up for it with floor leadership and a red-hot three-ball. O’Connor came off the bench to pump in four triples in the first half to keep Next Level Hoops Academy in their game against Wisconsin Swing Shaw. In the second half, the jumper cooled a bit, but O’Connor still stabilized NLHA’s floor game by being one of their primary handlers.

Riley Lytle – 2015 – SG -- Wisconsin Swing Shaw 16s
6-3 – Poynette – Poynette, WI

The Wisconsin Swing Shaw squad had a balanced overall effort in a close win over Next Level Hoops Academy, but Lytle led them in points with 16 points, many of them coming in the form of free throws. The Swing are one of the better programs on the circuit at running an effective halfcourt offense, and while their game today was choppy, Lytle’s contributions overall can’t be overlooked. Whether it was handling, passing, getting to the line or defending, Lytle had a solid outing.

Tyler Hall – 2015 – SG -- Quad City Elite 16s
6-3 – Rock Island H.S. – Rock Island, IL

In the nightcap, Hall had the jumper working as his Quad City Elite teammates jumped out to a big, early lead over Terry Porter Elite and never looked back. Hall knocked in four three-pointers and helped out as a secondary handler when TP Elite began to press as QC Elite held on for the win.

Luke McDonnell – 2015 – PF – Iowa Barnstormers 16s
6-9 – Dubuque Senior H.S. – Dubuque, IA

McDonnell showed off a few wrinkles of his solid upside by running the floor well, hitting the glass and defending on the interior. McDonnell doesn’t have a lot of strength for now, but does a nice job seeking out contact on boxouts in order to secure rebounds. He showed some decent hands by catching some passes while running in-stride and finishing near the hoop as well.

Brady Ernst -- 2015 – PF – Iowa Barnstormers 16s
6-8 – Clinton H.S. – Clinton, IA

Ernst isn’t quite as polished as McDonnell, but plays with good energy and a bit of a mean streak. Brady tried to finish with two hands, played physically and also showed that he isn’t afraid to faceup and use his mid-range jumper. He can get overaggressive at times and pick up cheap fouls, but he played solid defense overall.

STAR WATCH
(Note – Not listed in any particular order)

Drew Lock – 2015 – SG -- KC Run GMC 16s
6-4 – Lee’s Summit H.S. – Lee’s Summit, MO

Lock is also a football prospect but on the hardwood he definitely looked the part of a basketball prospect to watch. Lock has a pure and clean looking jumper and his QB vision also comes in handy as a passer and playmaking guard. Lock was solid in transition, played through contact and showed a high basketball IQ.

Kevin Puryear – 2015 – SF -- KC Run GMC 16s
6-7 – Blue Springs South H.S. – Lee’s Summit, MO

Solid overall outing for the lefty 6-7 wing. Puryear likes to stick to the weak side of the floor and can float for jumpers at times but he's got some combo forward skills with some solid developing ball skills and a workable jumper off the catch.

STOCK BOOSTERS
(Note – Not listed in any particular order)

Jimmy Whitt – 2015 – SG -- KC Run GMC 16s
6-2 – Hickman H.S. – Columbia, KS

Whitt had a very impressive evening in a win over the Iowa Mavericks. The quick and fluid scoring guard has a good-looking shot, although it wasn't falling consistently, and he created looks for himself on a regular basis by beating defenders off the dribble and trying a few pull-up jumpers.

Alex Martin – 2015 – F – Next Level Hoops Academy 16s
6-5 – Maize South H.S. – Wichita, KS

Although an undersized forward at 6-5, Martin hit the glass hard and showed a bit of a faceup game. It would have been nice to see him get some more offensive touches, but his motor still ran high.

Zachariah Jackson – 2015 – SG – Next Level Hoops Academy 16s
6-3 – East H.S. – Wichita, KS

Jackson didn’t shoot the ball well but showed some flashes of potential throughout a close loss to the Wisconsin Swing. A naturally-fluid shooting guard with some length, Jackson rebounded well from the guard spot and also knocked in a few jumpers. His jumper could use a bit of work, but has a decent foundation to build from.
