Mack Mercer – 2014 – F – Eric Gordon All-Stars
6-9 – Plymouth HS – Plymouth, IN

Mercer took over the game late for Eric Gordon All-Stars in their win over Ray Allen Select. The 6-9 big man came up clutch with a couple of late buckets. Mercer shot the ball well Friday night from the mid-range and from beyond the arc.

Joseph Powell – 2014 – F – Dorian’s Pride
6-8 – Saginaw HS – Saginaw, MI

Powell was a monster on the boards, collecting nearly 10 rebounds in just one half of play. The junior is an athletic forward who loves to run the floor and make plays in transition. Powell can also handle the ball if needed and has good explosion around the rim.

Denzel Smith – 2014 – F – Peoria Irish
6-7 – Danville HS – Danville, IL

Smith had a very strong outing for the Peoria Irish in their loss to the Wisconsin Swing. The junior forward made a number of impressive plays, slashing to the rim, finishing inside, and running the floor in transition. Smith finished with a game-high 16 points.

Star Watch
Marcus Bartley – 2014 – PG – Peoria Irish
6-4 – Decatur MacArthur HS – Decatur, IL

Bartley was hounded for much of the game against the Wisconsin Swing. The junior floor general did do a nice job of working in tight space and knocked down a number of shots in traffic. Bartley finished with 10 points in a losing effort.

Lamonte Bearden – 2014 – PG – Wisconsin Swing
6-2 – Germantown HS – Germantown, WI

Bearden led the Swing to a Friday night victory over the Peoria Irish. The junior scored a team-high 12 points, but was most impressive with his passing. Bearden put on a passing exhibition and was hovering around a double-digit assist total.

A.J. Turner – 2015 – G/F – Dorian’s Pride
6-7 – De La Salle HS – Warren, MI

Dorian’s Pride was up against it when they took on TP Elite. Still Turner was doing all he could to keep his team in the game. Turner did a nice job in transition, handling the ball, flying to the basket, and dropping off passes to his teammates.
