It was another eventful and exciting day as the top teams began to separate themselves in anticipation for Sunday’s championship run. Top Performers
Levi Bradley – 2015 – F – TP Elite
6-6 – Pius XI – Milwaukee, WI

Bradley put together a breakout performance for TP Elite Saturday afternoon. The sophomore got to the rim at will and finished with 24 points in a win over the Wisconsin Titans. Bradley finished shots in transition and from mid-range all game long. Bradley did it again a few hours later, scoring 20 points in a win over Northern Illinois Elite. The 6-6 forward is beginning to come into his own as his confidence continues to rise.

Malik Clements – 2014 – SG – Madison Spartans
6-3 – West HS – Madison, WI

Clements stayed hot on Saturday, going for 19 points in a win over World Class Basketball Saturday morning. The Madison native then went for 17 points in a win over DTA later that night. Clements shot the ball well from the field and did a nice job of breaking down his defender and attacking the rim.

Austin Gillmann – 2014 – F/C – Gateway
6-11 – Oakville HS – St. Louis, MO

Gillman cleaned up around the basket all game long in a loss to the Wisconsin Bulldogs. The 6-11 center finished with 19 points, getting put backs and easy buckets down low.

Riley LaChance – 2014 – SG – Ray Allen Select
6-1 – Brookfield Central HS – Brookfield, WI

LaChance was his usual self for Ray Allen Select in Saturday afternoon’s win. The 6-1 guard shot a high percentage from the field, on his way to a game-high 18 points. In their second game on Saturday night, LaChance got off to a quick start, scoring 16 points in the first 12 minutes of the game. The junior guard finished with 18 points in a blowout win.

Jake Reinhart – 2015 – G – Central IL Net Gain Sports
6-2 – Central Catholic HS – Normal, IL

Reinhart went off for 21 points in Net Gain’s win over the Wisconsin Blizzard Saturday morning. The sophomore has a high basketball IQ and is a solid shooter from all over the floor. Reinhart knocked down shots from all over the floor and iced the game with four late free throws.

Jordan Shea – 2014 – G/F – Madison Spartans
6-4 – Lodi HS – Lodi, WI

Shea poured in 21 points for the Madison Spartans who cruised to an easy victory over World Class Basketball. The junior swing man topped that performance with 25 points in a win over DTA. Shea can score inside and out, and has very good instincts on the floor. He won’t overwhelm you with his physical abilities, but he’s very skilled and understands the game.

Star Watch
Casey Schlatter – 2014 – F – Iowa Barnstormers
6-9 – Iowa Falls Alden HS – Ackley, IA

Schlatter was very efficient for the Barnstormers in their Saturday morning win over Bulls Premier. The Drake commit scored 10 points in the first half, and 12 for the game as the Barnstormers cruised to an easy victory. Schlatter extended his range, and knocked down a few 3-pointers.

Cody Schwartz – 2015 – F – Wisconsin Blizzard
6-8 – West De Pere HS – De Pere, WI

Schwartz was quiet Saturday morning, however his services were not required in lopsided win. The sophomore forward came back in the afternoon against Peoria Irish and put together a very solid performance. Schwartz scored 18 points, connecting on four 3-pointers, and made some big plays in the second half as the Blizzard survived a close one.

Diamond Stone – 2015 – F/C – Young Legends
6-11 – Whitefish Bay Dominican HS – Wauwatosa, WI

Stone went for 20 points for the Young Legends in their Saturday afternoon win over Central Illinois Net Gain. The super sophomore dominated the glass, compiling close to 20 rebounds.

Stock Boosters
Nate Hubbard – 2015 – G/F – Milwaukee Spartans
6-1 – Washington HS – Milwaukee, WI

The versatile forward scored 18 points for the Spartans in their win over the Illinois Hoyas Saturday morning. Although he does most of his work inside, Hubbard can handle the ball, and ran the transition offense for the Spartans very well.

Jake Jurss – 2015 – G – DTA
6-2 – Sheboygan Lutheran HS – Sheboygan, WI

Jurss shots the lights out for DTA in their blowout victory over the Wisconsin Magic. The sophomore guard caught fire from downtown, hitting five shots from 3-point range on his way to 17 points. Jurss did a nice job of freeing himself for open looks off screens and off the dribble.  

Kyle Monroe – 2015 – Wisconsin Blizzard
6-5 – Ashwaubenon HS – Green Bay, WI

Continuing his outstanding spring, Monroe had another huge performance Saturday afternoon. The 6-5 swing man scored 22 points for the Blizzard in their win over the Peoria Irish. Monroe always seems to be in the right place at the right time, converting a number of easy baskets for himself.

Caleb Mortag – 2014 – F – Ray Allen Select
6-5 – Brookfield Central HS – Hartland, WI

Mortag had his own dunking clinic Saturday night in a win over the Wisconsin Bulldogs. The 6-5 forward has big time athleticism, which was on full display. Mortag also finished with a game-high 22 points.

Jachi Taylor – 2015 – G/F – Illinois Rising Stars
6-5 – Waukegan HS – Waukegan, IL

Taylor got to the rim at will for the Illinois Rising Stars in their Saturday morning victory. The 6-5 wing, knows how to get to the rim and finish over defenders. Taylor finished with 18 points in the win.

Recruiting Notes
Austin Gillman has an offer from Illinois State. St. Louis, Yale and others are expressing interest.

Levi Bradley listed interest from Notre Dame, Iowa, Oregon, Oregon State, Marquette, Wisconsin, Memphis, Northern Iowa, Lehigh, Bucknell, Davidson, Illinois State, Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Riley LaChance has offers from Drake, North Dakota State, Rice, South Dakota, South Dakota State, UC-Davis, Western Michigan, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Yale. Boston College, Davidson, Indiana, Lehigh, Ohio, Oregon State, Utah State, and others are interested.

Cody Schwartz has offers from Creighton, Northern Iowa, and Wisconsin-Green Bay. Iowa, Iowa State, Northwestern, Michigan, Notre Dame, and Wisconsin have all shown interest.
