Two of the city of Chicago's -- and state of Illinois' -- best teams, Orr and Whitney Young, locked up on Wednesday night in a battle of teams that were yet to lose to an opponent from Illinois as both lost to out-of-state opponents.

Whitney Young (11-4, 4-0) got the better of Orr (10-2, 3-1) in the contest as Duke commit Jahlil Okafor faced single coverage and went for 24 points and 13 rebounds.

Georgetown commit Paul White also added 18 points and six rebounds and Saint Louis commit Miles Reynolds had 12 points as well for Whitney Young.

Orr was led by unsigned senior point guard Lou Adams Jr. with 12 points. Armani Ousley had 11 points buy left the game in the third quarter with and ankle inury.

Seniors Issaiah Hayes and Tyquone Greer also finished in double-figures at 10 points each for Orr. Both players remain unsigned, similar to Adams Jr.

Red-South has major clash on Thursday

Morgan Park will play Bogan at Julian High School on Thursday at 5 p.m., Bogan Athletic Director Erick Donya said. The Red-South rivals have split two games this season as Morgan Park lost at home to Bogan, but got revenge at Proviso West Holiday Tournament in the semifinals.

Morgan Park is finally healthy after missing sophomore point guard Charlie Moore and senior wing Lamont Walker being hurt during the first matchup but Bogan counters with high-scoring junior guard Luwane Pipkins, who has recent games of 40 points and 33 points in a road win over Simeon earlier this week.

Peyton Allen continues recruiting uptick

One of the hottest unsigned seniors in Illinois is Chatham-Glenwood 6-foot-5 shooting wing Peyton Allen is playing well after a summer recovering from mononucleosis in which he didn't have the same bounce in his step.

Allen picked up a recent offer from Texas A&M and will officially visit campus February 4th and 5th, which was confirmed to NY2LASports.com by his AAU coach with the Southwest Illinois Jets, Dana Morgan, and Allen will also visit Butler this Saturday.

The senior is still open in the recruiting process and is putting up big scoring numbers this season.
