The commitment season is in full swing as prospects continue to come off the board with each passing week and last week was no exception with big names like Antonio Blakeney, Dwayne Bacon, Hannif Cheatham, D.J. COMMITMENTS
2015 SG Antonio Blakeney of Oak Ridge HS (FL) verbally committed to Louisville last week.  Blakeney is the #10 prospect in the country according to NY2LASPORTS.COM.

2015 PG Corey Sanders of George Jenkins (FL) verbally committed to Rutgers last Thursday.  

2015 SG Ed Polite of Duvall HS (MD) came off the board with a verbal commitment to Radford on Friday.

Florida State struck big on the recruiting trail as 2015 SG Dwayne Bacon of Oak Hill (VA) and 2015 SG Malik Beasley of St. Francis (GA) both came off the board with verbal commitments to the Seminoles.  Bacon is regarded as the #11 prospect in the country according to NY2LASPORTS.COM.

2015 SG Casey Teson of St. Charles (MO) verbally committed to Eastern Illinois last week.

Marquette struck on the recruiting trail with a verbal commitment from 2015 SG Haanif Cheatham of Pinescharter (FL) on Friday.

The Missouri Tigers jumped in the mix on Friday as well with a verbal commitment from 2015 G Cullen VanLeer.

2015 SF Brock Miller of Brighton (UT) made his intentions known as the talented wing verbally committed to Utah State on Saturday.

Boston College struck on the trail as they secured a commitment from 2015 SG Matt Milon of Oviedo (FL) over the weekend.

New Mexico dipped into the 2016 class with a verbal commitment from PF Mitch Lightfoot of Ironwood Ridge (AZ) on Sunday.

2015 SF Matthew Holba of Guerin Catholic (IN) verbally committed to Lehigh on Sunday.

Texas A&M struck big on the recruiting trail on Sunday as they landed a verbal commitment from 2015 SF D.J. Hogg of Plano West High School in Texas.  Hogg is ranked as the #26 prospect in the country according to NY2LASPORTS.COM.

Northern Illinois had a huge recruiting haul the past couple of days.  It started with verbal commitments from 2015 SF Levi Bradley of Milwaukee Pius XI (WI) and 2015 F Jaylen Key of Homestead (WI) on Sunday and followed with another on Monday when 2015 PG Laytwan Porter of Rockford Auburn (IL) verbally committed to the Huskies.

2015 F Dana Batt of Homestead (IN) made his decision yesterday with a verbal commitment to Colgate.

2015 PF Christian Romine of Mahomet-Seymour (IL) came off the board on Monday with a verbal commitment to UTEP and Head Coach Tim Floyd.

Indiana State also struck on the trail yesterday with a verbal commitment from 2015 SF Bronson Kessinger of Corydon Central High School (IN).

2014 NY2LA SPORTS BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS FALL BASKETBALL LEAGUE
The annual NY2LA Sports Breakfast of Champions Fall Basketball League is set to tip off again this October in Wisconsin.  The league is open to 2015-2018 prospects (i.e. HS Freshman-Seniors).  The annual high school platform the serves as a skill development, exposure, and high school season preparation league boasts an alumni of some of the top talented in recent history including, but not limited to, the likes of Jean-Pierre Tokoto (North Carolina), Luke Fischer (Marquette), Kevon Looney (UCLA), Nick Fuller (Nebraska), Zak Showalter (Wisconsin), Carrington Love (UW-Green Bay), Jordan Fouse (UW-Green Bay), Elgin Cook (Oregon), David Jesperson (Pepperdine), Charles Lee (Cleveland State), Duane Wilson Jr. (Marquette), Jake Thomas (Marquette), Deonte Burton (Marquette), etc.  The league will run on Sunday mornings October 12th, October 19th, and October 26th from 8 am – 1 pm at Milwaukee Lutheran High School (WI) and it will once again feature skill work along with full length game play.  CLICK HERE for more information on the 2014 NY2LA Sports Breakfast of Champions Fall Basketball League.

NY2LA SPORTS FUTURES CAMP - OCTOBER 25, 2014
The prestigious NY2LA Sports Futures Camp that has launched a number of the top prospects in the country into the national spotlight in recent history returns again this fall on October 25, 2014 at Milwaukee Lutheran High School in Wisconsin.  Past camp MVP’s have been Semi Ojeleye (Duke), Cliff Alexander (Kansas), Deonte Burton (Marquette), Kevon Looney (UCLA), Diamond Stone (TBD), Jimmy Whitt (Arkansas), and Joseph Toye (Vanderbilt).  The one day camp will offer up skill work along with full length game play once again and is open to 2016-2018 prospects to attend (i.e. Freshman-Juniors).  For more information on the 2014 Futures Camp CLICK HERE

GENERATION NEXT TIP-OFF - NOVEMBER 15-16, 2014
