College Basketball continued to heat up as some conference tournaments tipped off and other conferences rounded out their regular season play.  A host of alumni were front and center in the action as Frank Mason continued his stellar play as did the likes of Bryant McIntosh, Luke Kennard, etc.  Here’s a look at those who shined this past weekend on the college hardwood…

Bronson Koenig (Wisconsin Swing/Playground Warriors) had 17 points as No. 22 Wisconsin knocked off Minnesota 66-49 at home.

No. 16 Purdue edged Northwestern 69-65 on the road. Vincent Edwards (All-Ohio Red) went for 25 points and five assists for the Boilermakers. The Wildcats were led by Bryant McIntosh (EG10), who posted 25 points and six dimes.

Conner Frankamp (KC Pump N’ Run) scored 19 points to lead No. 21 Wichita State past Illinois State 71-51 in the Missouri Valley title game. Paris Lee (Mac Irvin Fire) had 18 points and six rebounds for the Redbirds.

No. 1 Kansas edged Oklahoma State 90-85 thanks to 27 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds from Frank Mason (Team Loaded).

Luke Kennard (King James Shooting Stars) went for 28 points, but No. 17 Duke fell 90-83 at North Carolina.

V.J. Beachem (EG10) scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds for No. 19 Notre Dame, who dropped a 71-64 decision at Louisville. 

No. 11 Baylor topped Texas 75-64 on the road. Johnathan Motley (Houston Defenders) posted 17 points and 17 rebounds in the win.

Luke Kornet (Texas Select) had 24 points and six rebounds to lead Vanderbilt past No. 12 Florida 73-71 at home.

SMU blew past Memphis 103-62 at home. Sterling Brown (Mac Irvin Fire) led the way with 26 points and 10 boards.

Malcolm Hill (SW IL Jets) had 16 points and seven assists, but Illinois lost 62-59 at Rutgers.

Jae’Sean Tate (All-Ohio Red) went for 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists for Ohio State, who fell 96-92 to Indiana. 

Michigan State dropped a 63-60 decision at Maryland. Nick Ward (All-Ohio Red) had 22 points and 16 rebounds for the Spartans.

Justin Tillman (REACH Legends) scored 24 points and added eight rebounds as VCU got past George Mason 72-60 at home.

Billy Garrett Jr. (Mac Irvin Fire) had 17 points and eight boards, but DePaul fell 79-65 to Xavier.

Andrew White III (Team Loaded) exploded for 40 points in Syracuse’s 90-61 win over Georgia Tech.

BYU picked up an 89-81 win over Loyola Marymount. Eric Mika (Utah Reign) led the way with 25 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. 

Wake Forest topped Virginia Tech 89-84 on the road. Austin Arians (Wisconsin Swing) chipped in with 15 points. 

Fred Simms Jr. (Full Package) dropped 31 points, but Chicago State was handed an 87-82 loss to UMKC.

Santa Clara was a 76-69 winner over San Francisco. Jared Brownridge (Illinois Wolves) led the way with 28 points.

Garret Covington (St. Louis Eagles) dropped 25 points and six assists, but Western Illinois fell 78-69 to South Dakota.

Dayton couldn’t get past George Washington 87-81 despite 24 points and six rebounds from Kendall Pollard (Meanstreets).

Jordan Poydras (Playground Elite) had 17 points and five rebounds as Utah Valley picked up a 61-54 win over Seattle.

Paul Miller (Wisconsin Shooters) went for 24 points and seven boards, but North Dakota State fell 76-57 to IUPUI.
