The recruiting continues to be hot and heavy with commitments being given and offers going out daily.  Here’s a quick look at some of the action across the country in today’s recruiting notes…

Ohio State lost 2018 wing Torrence Watson, who cited personal and family reasons for re-opening his recruitment. Prior to his commitment, Watson held other offers from Missouri, Marquette, UNLV, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Creighton, Butler, West Virginia, Kansas State, and more. 

Five-star small forward Cameron Reddish (Norristown, Pa.) released his final five schools. Making the cut were UConn, Duke, Kentucky, UCLA, and Villanova. 

Chicago (Ill.) Simeon 2018 small forward Talen Horton-Tucker is down to Illinois, Xavier, Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa State, Missouri, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Florida State, Dayton, St. Louis, and Georgetown. 

Chicago (Ill.) Corliss 2018 forward George Conditt narrowed his list to Virginia Tech, Maryland, UTEP, New Mexico, Iowa State, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Colorado, Michigan, Houston, and Washington. He’s set official visits to Iowa State (Sept. 12), Illinois (Sept. 15), and New Mexico (Sept. 29). 

Detroit (Mich.) Southfield Christian 2019 shooting guard Harlond Beverly has added offers from Baylor, Michigan State, and most recently Arizona State. They join Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Cleveland State, Detroit, and Oral Roberts.

2018 shooting guard Romeo Langford (New Albany, Ind.) is down to Kentucky, UCLA, North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Louisville, and Kansas.

2018 center David McCormack (Norfolk, Va.) has a final six of Kansas, North Carolina State, Duke, UCLA, Oklahoma State, and Xavier. 

Northfield (Mass.) Mt. Hermon 2018 forward Nate Laszewski has set official visits to Notre Dame (Sept. 9), Wake Forest (Sept. 16) and North Carolina (Sept. 23). 

Chicago (Ill.) Whitney Young 2018 point guard Xavier Castaneda will officially visit South Florida this weekend. He’s also slated to see Kent State (Sept. 8) and Wichita State (Sept. 23). 

2019 point guard D.J. Carton (Bettendorf, Iowa.) took an unofficial visit to Missouri last week. He’s also visited Iowa and Wisconsin in August. Carton is setting up trips to Michigan and Wisconsin for later in the fall. 

Hopkins (Minn.) 2018 center Joe Hedstrom has set his first official visit to Boise State for the weekend of Sept. 22.  He is then scheduled to visit Wisconsin the weekend of September 29th.

Milwaukee (Wis.) Riverside 2018 guard Carlos Curtis will take his first official visit to East Tennessee State beginning Sept. 21. 

Chicago (Ill.) Morgan Park 2018 guard Ayo Dosunmu has set official visits to USC (Sept. 16) and Wake Forest (Sept. 30). He’s also considering Illinois, Creighton, Memphis, Xavier, Oklahoma State, Kansas, New Mexico, UConn, and North Carolina State.

Cincinnati (Ohio.) Archbishop Moeller 2018 forward Jaxson Hayes visited Ohio State, Xavier, Dayton, and Butler unofficially in August. He’ll officially visit Texas (Sept. 8) and Xavier (Sept. 15). Hayes also has an unofficial visit set for Illinois for this weekend. 

2018 small forward Justin Ahrens (Versailles, Ohio.) is down to Michigan, Ohio State, and Xavier. The former Buckeye commit will return to Columbus officially the weekend of Sept. 22. He’s also slated for trips to Michigan (Sept. 8) and Xavier (Sept. 29) before making his final decision. 

Illinois and DePaul got 2018 center Bryan Penn-Johnson (Heber City, Utah) on campus for an unofficial visit this week. 

2018 forward Jaedon LeDee (Houston, Texas.) narrowed his list down to UCLA, Texas A&M, Ohio State, LSU, Houston, Iowa State, Oklahoma, and California. LeDee has official visits set to Ohio State for Sept. 9, California on Sept. 15, LSU on Sept. 29, and UCLA for Oct. 6.
