One of the premier 2019 prospects in the Midwest, Illinois top prospect Francis Okoro has been opening eyes for a while now, but he is just scratching the surface of his potential.  Having posted multiple double doubles this season with 20+ points and 20+ rebounds, Okoro has been a dominant force for his Normal West high school team.  Okoro led his team to an 8-2 conference record (21-7 overall) playing in the Big 12 one of Illinois most loaded conferences.

A very physical interior prospect that has a rare combination of strength and athleticism, Okoro stands at 6-9 with a very long and wide frame creating a matchup nightmare at the high school level.  Dominant on both ends of the floor, Okoro runs the floor as good as any big man in the country and he usually finishes at the rim with a powerful dunk.   His post moves have improved in the past 12 months so when he gets touches in the paint he finishes at the rim at a very high rate but he also has the ability to step away and knock down the jumper with range that can extend beyond the arc.  Defensively Okoro is an outstanding rim protector and grabs rebounds at a very high rate have posting multiple 20+ rebound games this season.

The talented junior holds several offers from programs across the country including Alabama, DePaul, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Oakland, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas Southern, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, and Western Kentucky.  Expect his recruitment to pick up even more over the next 6-8 months if he continues his high level of play.  Only playing competitively for 4 years Okoro's best basketball is still ahead of him as he has potential to be an impact player at the high major level.

Okoro plays with Bradley Beal Elite during the traveling grassroots season.
