Texas's 2019 class is arguably the strongest state recruiting class in the nation with tons of high caliber prospects such as Tyrese Maxey, Will Baker, Tyreek Smith, De'Vion Harmon, Drew Timme, Chris Harris Jr and Avery Anderson.  Forward Jalen Wilson of Guyer (TX) is another hot prospect continuing to see his recruiting trail light up nationally.

Wilson has been delivering major contributions this season for Denton Guyer who boasts a talent filled roster that may rival some of the top teams in the nation this year. Few frontcourt prospects possess the versatility Wilson has with his ability to affect the game in all phases. Guyer has dominated the competition this season largely in part to Wilson's ability to take over games with his scoring ability and lock down opponent’s best front court scoring options.

The standout junior possesses a great combination of basketball pedigree, high basketball IQ, competitiveness, ball skills, etc. as well as play making ability and athleticism. As versatile as they come in the front court, Wilson's ability to score from the post, take defender's off the dribble, and stretch the floor with his perimeter shooting prowess offensively make him a highly intriguing talent. Defensively Wilson is able to guard wings on the perimeter as well as post inside the paint making him a dual threat.

Wilson holds offers from Kansas, Purdue, Marquette, LSU, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas Tech, Arizona State, Saint Louis, SMU, VCU, Virginia Tech and Texas A&M. Primed to make a major push into the top tier of prospects in the class, Wilson should soon have all the Blue Chip programs lined up as he’s one of the prized prospects in the 2019 class and he just starting his ascent.

He plays with the Marcus Smart YGC36 during the grassroots travel season.
