Steven Crowl of Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Minnesota and D1 Minnesota has committed to the University of Wisconsin and head coach Greg Gard. The 6’10” center joins an already strong 2020 recruitment class for the Badgers. Crowl joins Johnny and Jordan Davis of La Crosse Central High School (WI), Lorne Bowman of Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Prep (MI), and preferred walk-on Carter Gilmore of Arrowhead High School (WI) in the Gard’s 2020 recruitment class.

Crowl picked the Badgers over scholarship offers from Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota. The commitment comes after he took his visit to the Madison campus earlier this month. The big man announced his commitment on twitter Tuesday afternoon. Crowl was offered his scholarship by Gard and staff just back in early July. The offer came following Crowl and his Eastview High School teams visit to the Wisconsin team camp in June.

The senior is a lengthy 6’10” big man who can contribute on both ends of the court. He is a tough defender on the interior and a natural shot blocker with his length. On the offensive end, he can score in the paint with his back to the basket plus can step out on the perimeter to knock down jumpers.
