Over the last couple weeks, the Wisconsin Badgers made some big strides in completing their 2020 recruitment class. They were able to land commitments from forward Ben Carlson and center Steven Crowl in addition to already having Jordan & Johnny Davis, Lorne Bowman, and Carter Gilmore in the fold.

With the 2020 recruitment class complete, head coach Greg Gard and staff have turned the page onto their 2021 class by landing a commitment from Chucky Hepburn. The point guard announced his commitment on twitter Sunday evening.

He now joins power forward Chris Hodges of Schaumburg High School in the Badgers 2021 class. Hepburn’s commitment comes a week after Hepburn visited Madison for an official visit. This gives Wisconsin an edge recruiting wise around the country as they have now landed early on a talented 2021 point guard-big man combination.

Hepburn is a 6’1” point guard of Bellevue West High School in Nebraska and Team Factory. He picked Wisconsin over his other offers from Creighton, Loyola-Chicago, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Valparaiso. He picked up his offer from Gard and staff back in early June of this year while on a visit.
