Class of 2024 G Jakeel Registe is on pace not only to be one of the best players in the Houston area, but one of the best all-around players in the region over the next few years. The 6’5 SG is a centerpiece of a loaded Episcopal squad that is looking to make a mark in the state of Texas. Registe plays well beyond his years in terms of confidence, and it is only a matter of time before his play on the court make him a household name in national basketball circles.

One word can sum up his play on the court and that word is smooth. He is always in control of the game and never gets rattled with the ball in his hand. He is an elite level ball handler and can break full court presses by himself. He sees plays before they happen and finds teammates for easy baskets in the half court as well as in transition. He has a lightning quick first step and uses it to blow by bigger defenders. He finishes at the rim with contact and is not afraid to put someone on a poster if he is challenged. His three-point shot is steadily improving and is becoming more a legit three level scorer. He shoots free throws well and has a nice touch from the mid-range.

Defensively he has quick feet and a high IQ. He is the vocal leader on the defensive end of the floor for his team and takes the challenge of guarding the best player on the opposing roster. He has long arms and anticipates well in the passing lanes. He rebounds very well for his sizes and his leaping ability allows him to secure rebounds and immediately start transition plays. He plays with a tremendous amount of heart and passion and because of this schools have begun to make him a top target for their recruitment efforts.

He currently holds offers from the likes of Rice and Tulsa. This list will only grow over the next year as he heads into the winter school season as well as the spring and summer travel circuits and play against other elite national competition.
