The future was on display this past weekend at the inaugural Generation Next Tip-Off as teams from Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota hit the hardwood in Wisconsin for two action filled days of basketball.  When the ball stopped bouncing in the 13U age group it was players like Jack Popp who came up bit throughout the weekend.  Today we continue our recap of the tournament with the 13U All-Tournament team…

MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER – JACK POPP – SF – PLAYGROUND ELITE SMITH
A versatile forward who can play inside and outside, Popp has an excellent motor and is constantly on the attack.  He has solid perimeter range at times, attacks the rim off the bounce, can score in the paint, and has excellent rebounding instincts and ability on both ends of the floor.  Brings instant toughness and energy to the court along with solid instincts and an above average skill package.  Turned in a huge second half performance in the championship game to finish with a game high 14 points and lead a come from behind victory.
