A stellar final weekend at the annual BOC fall league saw a number of talented like 2013 PG Jarvis Garrett of West Allis Central H.S. (WI) shine bright. We continue our recap of week 4 with our Western Conference report…
WESTERN CONFERENCE REPORT
THUNDER
JARVIS GARRETT – 2013 – PG – WEST ALLIS CENTRAL
Stat Line Game 1 – 19 points (6-7 FG), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 17 points (7-18 FG), 5 assists, 1 rebound, 4 turnovers
Delivered a solid active performance that showed range, playmaking ability, explosion, etc. Wrapped his 2011 BOC campaign with two solid efforts this past weekend that were dominant and productive in the same fashion while also showing exceptional floor leadership ability and decision making once again.
KEVON LOONEY – 2014 – SF – MILWAUKEE HAMILTON
Stat Line Game 1 – 12 points (5-8 FG), 11 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist, 5 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 11 points (5-9 FG), 7 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist
Was efficient from the field and active on the glass once again. Struggled with turnovers in the opening game but delivered a couple of smooth solid performances in his trademark fashion this past weekend.
PHILLIP NOLAN – 2012 – PF – MILWAUKEE RIVERSIDE
Stat Line Game 1 – 14 points (5-10 FG), 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 steal, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 19 points (9-12 FG), 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 assists, 3 turnovers
Was pleased with his overall effort especially in his second game where he dominated the paint and blended solid post moves with excellent activity on the glass to turn in a resounding effort. A solid overall two game performance for the young forward.
SPURS
DEONTE BURTON – 2013 – SF – MILWAUKEE VINCENT
Stat Line Game 1 – 25 points (9-16 FG), 6 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 24 points (9-15 FG), 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, 2 turnovers
Captured Player of the Week honors and helped fuel his team to the league championship with two excellent overall performances. Knocked down 8 of 14 from beyond the arc in the two games, was active on the glass, kicked out assists, and delivered some solid defense as well. A dominant overall performance this past weekend.
DAVID JESPERSON – 2012 – F – MERRILL
Stat Line Game 1 – 7 points (3-6 FG), 9 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 15 points (6-7 FG), 2 rebounds, 0 turnovers
Showed range and solid efficiency from the field in both games and also mixed in some nice rebounding in the first game. As his activity elevates on both ends along with his aggression, so will his overall floor impact this season.
RILEY LACHANCE – 2014 – G – BROOKFIELD CENTRAL
Stat Line Game 1 – 17 points (7-10 FG), 6 assists, 3 steals, 3 rebounds, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 6 points (3-5 FG), 2 assists, 2 rebounds, 0 turnovers
Delivered arguably his best performance this fall in his opening game as he was efficient from the field, made solid decisions, was active on the defensive end, etc. Bottle up game one and bring that to the table each time out and his stock will continue to elevate in the process.
REED TIMMER – 2014 – G – NEW BERLIN EISENHOWER
Stat Line Game 1 – 9 points (4-7 FG), 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 2 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 12 points (5-8 FG), 6 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, 2 turnovers
Was solid in both games with his overall activity and made a number of quality decisions as well. Showed range, instincts, solid playmaking, etc. Another nice effort to cap his 2011 BOC efforts.
LAKERS
DAVID BURRELL – 2014 – F – MILWAUKEE HAMILTON
Stat Line Game 1 – 14 points (6-11 FG), 3 rebounds, 1 block, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 12 points (6-9 FG), 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, 2 steals, 0 turnovers
Was impressed with his overall activity and efficiency. Was extremely active in the second game and delivered a strong floor performance. Showed range, solid instincts, etc. A quality overall 2 game effort to wrap his 2011 BOC performance.
DAMONTRAE JEFFERSON – 2014 – PG – MILWAUKEE HAMILTON
Stat Line Game 1 – 20 points (9-16 FG), 5 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 18 points (8-18 FG), 9 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 6 turnovers
Delivered two more impressive performances in the final week that displayed quickness, instincts, playmaking, solid dribble penetration skills, nice open court instincts, range, etc. Was active defensively and created positive chaos on both ends. As he continues to improve his efficiency and reduce turnovers, his game should continue to be dominant and improve in the process.
KONOR KULAS – 2012 – F – KIMBERLY
Stat Line Game 1 – 15 points (6-12 FG), 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 15 points (5-9 FG), 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 block, 1 turnover
Really impressed with his two game performance this past weekend. Was active, efficient, productive, and at times dominant on both ends. Finished with efficiency, attacked the glass, was active defensively, etc. A solid overall effort.
CARRINGTON LOVE – 2012 – PG – MILWAUKEE PIUS XI
Stat Line Game 1 – 14 points (6-14 FG), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 16 points (6-12 FG), 5 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 assists, 1 turnover
Wrapped his 2011 BOC campaign with a couple of decent performances this past weekend. Was active on the glass, made some solid passes, scored in transition, knocked down jumpers etc. A solid two game effort this past weekend.
NUGGETS
JALEN CURRIE – 2012 – SF – MILWAUKEE RIVERSIDE
Stat Line Game 1 – 10 points (5-11 FG), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 3 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 6 points (3-9 FG), 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 turnovers
Was more active this past weekend on the glass and his overall impact was solid as well. Really scratching the surface right now of his potential and as he increases his overall floor activity and aggressiveness on both ends his game and production will elevate as well.
BRADY ELLINGSON – 2014 – SG – SUSSEX HAMILTON
Stat Line Game 1 – 20 points (8-13 FG), 3 steals, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 6 points (3-9 FG), 3 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 turnover
Delivered his best performance this fall in the opening game where he knocked down shots, showed range, was active defensively, etc. As he continues to improve his activity and aggressiveness game in and game out his overall floor production should continue to grow in the process.
AUSTIN STUECK – 2012 – G/F – SOUTH MILWAUKEE
Stat Line Game 1 – 13 points (6-11 FG), 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 16 points (6-10 FG), 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 3 turnovers
One of the pleasant surprises this fall, Stueck closed out his 2011 BOC campaign with a couple of solid efficient floor efforts. He showed nice range, solid instincts, quality rebounding ability, etc. Knows how to play and produced every time he took the floor this fall.
DUANE WILSON JR. – 2013 – PG – DOMINICAN
Stat Line Game 1 – 17 points (6-11 FG), 9 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, 1 block, 6 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 19 points (8-20 FG), 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 5 turnovers
Wrapped a stellar 2011 BOC campaign with two quality floor performances once again. Delivered a number of quality passes, finished off the bounce and with the jumper, was active defensively, and attacked the glass. Outside of some turnovers his overall performance this past weekend and throughout the fall was exceptional.
