Another week of action at the annual Breakfast of Champions Fall League saw strong performances from the likes of 2013 G Javis McPike of Morris-Marshall H.S. (WI). We continue our recap of the final week of the 2011 BOC with our Midwest Conference report today…
MIDWEST CONFERENCE REPORT
BUCKS
JOSEPH BINYOTI – 2015 – G – HOMESTEAD
Stat Line Game 1 – 11 points (3-11 FG), 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 13 points (6-8 FG), 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 2 turnovers
Elevated his play in the final week and was more active and more productive. Made solid passes, was efficient from the field in the second game, and attacked the glass. A solid two game effort.
JAVIS MCPIKE – 2013 – G – MORRIS-MARSHALL
Stat Line Game 1 – 10 points (3-8 FG), 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 2 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 16 points (7-14 FG), 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 3 turnovers
Wrapped a solid fall performance with another quality two game effort. Was active on both ends, attacked the glass, finished in transition, kicked out some assists, etc. A quality two game effort in terms of production and energy/hustle on both ends.
IAN RAY – 2012 – SG – WHITNALL
Stat Line Game 1 – 23 points (8-16 FG), 3 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal, 1 assist, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 9 points (3-10 FG), 2 rebounds, 1 block, 0 turnovers
Delivered his best performance this fall in the opening game and showed excellent range with a 6-11 effort from long range. A solid catch and shoot guy, Ray was stellar in the opening game on Saturday.
DALTON SJONG – 2012 – F – WESTOSHA
Stat Line Game 1 – 10 points (5-11 FG), 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 2 points (0-7 FG), 4 rebounds
Struggled in the final game but his opening game was the best he had this fall as he finished around the basket, was active on the glass, made some nice plays defensively, etc.
T-WOLVES
LEVI BRADLEY – 2015 – F – MILWAUKEE PIUS XI
Stat Line Game 1 – 9 points (3-6 FG), 9 rebounds, 5 blocks, 1 assist, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 8 points (4-5 FG), 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 steal, 1 assist, 1 turnover
Wrapped a solid fall performance with two more efficient and productive floor performances. Stayed active on the glass, made things happen defensively, and was efficient from the field. A solid two game performance.
KARIM COLE – 2015 – PG – MARTIN LUTHER
Stat Line Game 1 – 7 points (2-4 FG), 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 15 points (5-6 FG), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 0 turnovers
Delivered his best performance this fall in the second game as he knocked down shots, made solid decisions, was active on the glass, and was efficient across the board.
DARIUS MARSHALL – 2013 – PG – HOMESTEAD
Stat Line Game 1 – 14 points (6-13 FG), 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 12 points (4-13 FG), 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 3 turnovers
Was active and aggressive on both ends, scored off the bounce, attacked the glass, made some solid passes, etc. As his shot selection and efficiency improves so will his overall impact every time he takes the court.
NATHANIEL MOORE – 2013 – PG – WAUWATOSA EAST
Stat Line Game 1 – 6 points (2-9 FG), 6 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists, 1 block, 3 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 13 points (5-7 FG), 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 turnover
Was decent in the opening game but took it up a notch in the second game and delivered one of his best efforts this fall. Was active on the glass and made some solid passes in both games, finished from long range and at the mid-range area, and was more active this past weekend. A decent effort to wrap up his 2011 BOC performance.
PISTONS
BRIAN BEARDEN – 2014 – SG – HOMESTEAD
Stat Line Game 1 – 12 points (5-8 FG), 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 2 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 23 points (9-12 FG), 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 0 turnovers
Continued his stellar efforts at the BOC with two more quality performances this past weekend. Was efficient from the field, showed solid range, was active on the glass, etc. A nice performance to close out his BOC efforts this fall.
NICK MUELLER – 2012 – F – HOMESTEAD
Stat Line Game 1 – 8 points (3-10 FG), 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block, 0 turnovers
Stat Line Game 2 – 12 points (5-8 FG), 4 steals, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 block, 0 turnovers
Was more active and productive this past weekend than prior weeks and his overall floor production was very good. Made some shots, grabbed some rebounds, was active defensively, and kicked out some nice assists.
BRAD NEWMAN – 2014 – PG – BROOKFIELD CENTRAL
Stat Line Game 1 – 2 points (1-4 FG), 1 assist, 1 rebound, 1 steal, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 12 points (6-7 FG), 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block, 0 turnovers
Wasn’t very active in the opening game but his final game was his best this fall as he was efficient, made solid passes, was active, etc.
BRANDON RAMEY – 2013 – PG – MENOMONEE FALLS
Stat Line Game 1 – 14 points (5-11 FG), 3 steals, 1 assist, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 16 points (7-15 FG), 4 assists, 4 steals, 1 rebound, 0 turnovers
Really elevated his floor play this past weekend with quality decisions, nice passes, solid defensive activity, better shot selection, etc. A solid two game performance this past weekend that was productive and efficient in the same fashion.
BULLS
TYWON BRESSLER JR. – 2015 – PG – MARTIN LUTHER
Stat Line Game 1 – 12 points (5-15 FG), 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 turnover
Stat Line Game 2 – 8 points (4-12 FG), 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 6 turnovers
Struggled from the field but was active on the glass, made some nice decisions, etc. As he becomes more efficient and reduces his turnovers his game will continue to elevate in the process. A decent two game performance.
NATE HENSEL – 2014 – G/F – WILMOT
Stat Line – 10 points (4-8 FG), 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 0 turnovers
Stat Line – 2 points (1-6 FG), 4 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal, 2 turnovers
Was impressive in the opening game with his efficiency, rebounding, activity, etc. Has solid instincts and decent skills to build on moving forward.
JAYLEN KEY – 2015 – F – HOMESTEAD
Stat Line – 7 points (3-5 FG), 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist, 4 turnovers
Stat Line – 6 points (3-10 FG), 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 turnover
Has excellent instincts, a solid feel for the game, etc. Was active on the glass this past weekend, knocked down some perimeter shots, was active defensively, etc. Like his potential moving forward.
RAYLON WILBORN – 2013 – F – MILWAUKEE RIVERSIDE
Stat Line – 13 points (5-9 FG), 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 blocks, 1 turnover
Stat Line – 16 points (7-10 FG), 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 turnovers
Rebounded from a subpar effort to deliver a couple of high quality performances this past weekend. Was efficient from the field, scored in transition, attacked the glass, made solid passes, and brought some nice activity to the floor. Closed his 2011 BOC exploits with two quality efforts.
