The new staff at Nebraska continues to make their presence felt throughout the Midwest through various high profile visits but earlier today they struck on the trail via Wisconsin as Sun Prairie 2013 wing Nick Fuller gave his verbal commitment to Head Coach Time Miles and the Cornhuskers earlier today while taking his unofficial visit to Lincoln.

Fuller’s list of options continued to grow throughout the summer, but the 6-7 forward opted to go with the school that recruited him hardest, and was there for him throughout the summer.

“There was certain level of comfort with the coaches at Nebraska,” Fuller’s travel coach of the Wisconsin Swing Justin Litscher said. “They’ve done the best job recruiting him.

“Coach Miles was front and center for the first game of July. He was front and center for the last game we played in July. He was there all the time. He was there in April too.

“I think all it really took was Nick going there and seeing what Nebraska had to offer. They’ve got unbelievable facilities and I think that sold him.”

Fuller is looking forward to help take Nebraska basketball to the next level.

“Decided to go to Nebraska for the challenge to help Coach Miles and turn the program around,” he said. “The facilities are exceptional, the staff is great, everything just felt right.”

Before he even arrived in Lincoln, Fuller got a sense of how much he was wanted, by not just the Nebraska coaching staff, but their fans.

“On his way there, they got called by three different papers,” Litscher said. “I think it really solidified with him how important he was to Nebraska basketball.

“He was one of their top three targets and they really showed that. Combine that with the level of comfort he had with the coaches, I think that made it a done deal.”

Fuller elevated his stock this summer, landing high major offers from the likes of Colorado and Minnesota among others.

Heading into his senior year, Fuller has started to play with a whole new level of confidence according to Litscher.

“I thought Nick took his game to another level this year,” Litscher explained. “He’s always played up an age level, which helped him this year going in with a lot of confidence.

“He was tougher this summer, he took care of the ball a little better, he started to show his mid range game, and his jumper was more consistent, which opened up a lot of other things for him.”

Fuller chose Nebraska over offers from Butler, Colorado, Creighton, Drake, Marquette, Minnesota, Northern Iowa, Toledo, Saint Louis, Rice, UW-Green Bay, and UW-Milwaukee.

He played with the Wisconsin Swing during the grassroots travel season.
