414HOOPS.COM in association with NY2LASPORTS.COM continues with its "RANKINGS WEEK" today with a look at a loaded group of 2011 prospects throughout the state of Wisconsin.  It's like shuffling cards as on any given day one player can play like the best and the same can be said about another the following day.  Add to the mix some excellent upside for a few of the names, skill with others, etc. its easy to see why this class may be one of the most difficult.  Here's a look at the top 5 as we release the 414HOOPS.COM TOP 25 CLASS OF 2011 Player Rankings for the state of Wisconsin today...

(1)  ELGIN COOK 6-6 G/F MILWAUKEE HAMILTON
The Iowa State bound swingman is an explosive and versatile athletic swingman who's really scratching the surface of his potential.  Excellent instincts, solid rebounding skills, etc. Cook can get 20 without a play even being run for him as he has a knack for being where the basketball is.  Excels in transition and has a huge ceiling.  Perimeter stroke continues to develop as well.  Excellent talent but others are right on his tail in the 2011 class. A top 100 prospect nationally.

(2)  ROY MARSHALL 6-6 SF MILWAUKEE PULASKI
One of the most explosive and athletic wings in the country, Marshall could easily grab the top spot as well with the performances he's had the past few months in the BOC against the best this state has to offer.  Excellent size, explosive hops, and a versatile offensive skill package that includes the ability to score in transition, at the mid range area, and stroke the trey ball.  Still raw in terms of his decision making, Marshall has been virtually unstoppable so far this season and is averaging close to 29 PPG.  Could very well be the biggest story in the region and one of the biggest in the country over the next 12 months if he continues on his current pace.

(3)  DARNELL HARRIS 6-7 F MILWAUKEE HAMILTON
Another excellent skilled talent with range that extends well beyond the arc.  Can take over games with his perimeter stroke and when he is active on the glass, attacking the rim, and stroking the jumper he's virtually unstoppable and one of the very best in the region.  Solid instincts, nice smooth stroke, and excellent potential in the coming years.  The more active he is on both ends the more unstoppable he becomes.  Had an excellent spring/summer campaign and has schools continuing to show interest by the week.

(4)  PAUL JESPERSON 6-6 G/F MERRILL
Arguably the best pure shooting prospect in the state regardless of class.  Excellent size, nice length, and a beautiful perimeter stroke that extends well beyond the arc.  Has some solid instincts and can score attacking the rim off the bounce occasionally.  With added athleticism, explosion, and the ability to attack the rim off the bounce more effectively, Jesperson could challenge for the top spot before its all said and done.

(5)  QUEVYN WINTERS 6-5 SF MILWAUKEE WASHINGTON
Skilled, instinctive, tough wing talent with range that extends beyond the arc.  With the game on the line and the ball in your hands, this may very well be the guy you want to take that shot in the 2011 class.  Has a no fear mentality, can score in the paint, hits the mid range, and has the ability to stroke the trey ball as well.  With added lower half quickness and explosion, Winters could see his stock soard.  Consistent, productive, and dominant time and time again.  Solid floor package.
