Antonio Curro — NATIONAL RECRUITING DIRECTOR - NY2LASPORTS.COM
Villanova struck big on the recruiting trail yesterday grabbing a commitment from 6-6 Sr. F Jayvaughn Pinkston of Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School in New York. Pinkston was one of the top post prospects left on the board in the 2010 class and was also being courted by the likes of Tennessee, Marquette, and Seton Hall amongst others. A powerful physical talent, Pinkston can dominate the paint when he wants to and should bring an instant physical presence to the Cats in the Big East when he arrives next year. The New York prep standout played with the New Heights grassroots travel program this past spring/summer.

The 2009 Swish & Dish Spring Warm-Up is set to tip off the grassroots travel season April 2-4, 2010! The event is absolutely loading up with teams and prospects on both a regional and national level. This year's event will feature divisions for 9u-17u teams and will include many of the top prospects in the country once again.
It's going to be really interesting in the coming weeks to see how things shake out with the 2010 class as the likes of Brandon Knight, Ray McCallum Jr., and Josh Selby are just 3 of many of the coveted prospects still on the board right now. Lead guards are at a premium and those are 3 big time talents to say the least. All kinds of rumors flying around but will be very interesting to see how things go down as it's likely to be a domino affect once one comes off the board.
Details for the 2010 Generation Next All-Star Camp are almost finalized. This year's camp will again be held in June and will feature many of the top middle school prospects in the country. Beachem, 2014 Jonathan Carson, 2015 James Blackmon, and 2016 Vijay Blackmon who currently is regarded by the Hoopscoop as the #1 player in that class!
