Jr. PG Nimrod Hilliard came up big when it mattered the most to help lift Madison East to a 57-54 victory in OT over Madison Memorial on Saturday night in a matchup of two of the top 5 teams in the state of Wisconsin this season.  One of the truly underrated and underappreciated 2011 prospects in the state, Hilliard has always shown flashes of brilliance on the court but this season the skilled instinctive savvy lead guard has really stepped up big and been consistent night in and night out in leading Madison East.

Saturday night was no exception as Hilliard drilled a crucial three pointer to tie the game and then scored on a three point play to give East the the lead and the victory.  Down by 5 to start the fourt quarter, East rebounded to outscore Memorial 13-8 in the final quarter to push the game to overtime and Hilliard took over in the extra session to lift East to the victory.

Sr. G Tre Creamer led Memorial with 26 points while Marquette bound Sr. G Vander Blue added 20 in the losing effort for Memorial.

Hilliard will play with the Wisconsin Starz program during the grassroots travel season.  Creamer played with the Wisconsin Force and Blue split time between the Madison Spartans and Milwaukee Spartans.
